Publisher Promotion Points (PPP) are a sort of virtual currency we use on site to fairly share the promotional tools among all publishers. The best part of PPP is that they're completely free to earn!
Around the first of each month, your publisher account will be credited with a certain number of PPP according to the formula:
10 (or 20 for exclusive publishers only) + 1 per $10 gross margin (i.e., net sales after POD print costs) for the previous month
- These monthly points are free. At the request of some publishers we have made available the option to buy extra PPP by purchasing this product, but we do not encourage you to do that.
- Your PPP do accumulate, so if you have some left at the end of the month, they will remain in your account (like rollover minutes with cell phones).
- Most of the promotional publisher tools on your publisher tools menu (under Account) "cost" a certain number of PPP to use. We only have a limited, finite amount of some promotional resources like homepage impressions or newsletter offers so we use the PPP system as a means of fairly sharing those limited resources among all publishers. The PPP cost of most promotional tools varies depending on how many other publishers are also using that tool. The more in demand the tool, the higher the current cost in PPP. If you find you do not have enough PPP in your publisher account to use a tool, you might select a different promotional tool or wait until next month when more PPP accumulate into your account.
You can see your PPP reports here: Report spent and received PPP.
This tool lets you see the PPP that you have spent on promotional tools and the PPP you have received.
